Do You Feel Satisfied with Fitness, Health, and Life?

Feeling satisfied is such a great word and an important part of your health and fitness. When you're happy with your self, healthy, and feel great, life is better. You don't need the approval of anyone else or feel it necessary to be content. You have achieved success for you and are confident in everything about your life. You are satisfied. Do you feel this way about yourself?

Just a quick personal share of my ugly younger self. I would run around trying to please everyone and be the 'yes' girl. I put my own feelings aside and didn't understand how to apply healthy boundaries. Some of my early fitness adventures were not just for me, but for the approval of others. I am so happy to be older, wiser, and definitely better. The worries of acceptance no longer apply to me. What does matter is how I feel about me and doing my best to be healthy and happy.

This journey of life can create amazing opportunities for positive growth. What we go through is part of a learning process. If you are unhappy or unsatisfied with your health and life, you can change it. It doesn't do any good to become bitter or angry about things out of your control. Sometimes this can take awhile to learn and apply in life. When you start working on things you can control about yourself is when feeling satisfied can begin. 

There are many steps you can take to start feeling satisfied with your health and fitness including:

  • Making health and fitness a priority.
  • Loving yourself now - everyone starts somewhere. 
  • Loving yourself through the process of getting fit. 
  • Letting go of things out of your control.
  • Work on the things about you that you can control.
  • Stop making excuses for unhealthy habits.
  • Stop accepting being unhealthy as a normal way of life.
  • Start getting healthy for you.

The goal is a healthy, happy life where you are satisfied with you. This means you enjoy how you feel and look. You are enjoying a quality life because you are taking care of yourself. More than that, you are in love with the process of taking care of your health.

Sometimes, feeling unsatisfied can still be a struggle even when you have reached your fitness goals. Living the lifestyle still doesn't seem good enough. Feelings like this usually stem from unresolved emotional issues or even present circumstances. Regardless of how fit you are on the outside, if inner work is not exercised, true health and happiness are really impossible. These scenarios may require professional help from a reliable licensed counselor/therapist.  

The efforts you take to achieve life satisfaction will be worth it. Whether it comes from fixing unhealthy eating habits or seeing a therapist for emotional healing, it's all important. Do you want to be healthy and happy?

Other helpful tips to feel satisfied in life:

  • Accept yourself at every age. Your body will change through the years.
  • Do your best to look your best.
  • Fitness is the fountain of youth.
  • Honor yourself by living a healthy lifestyle.
  • Age is just a number, not a definition of fitness.
  • You don't have to be frumpy after 50.
  • Hold onto your inner child.
  • Feel sexy at every age.
  • You are enough.
  • The grass isn't greener on the other side. 
  • Less is more.
  • Believe in daily miracles.
  • Don't sweat the small stuff.
  • Breathe
  • Make the best of everything you have.
  • Enjoy the moment.
